Georgian Wine Masterclass w/ Tim Stock // Newtown // Weds 24 Jan 2024 // 6:30 - 8:30pm

Regular price $54.00
The crucible of winemaking. With over 8000 years’ history of fermenting grapes into alcohol, Georgia is an incredible landscape for exploring the history and culture of wine. In this class we’re shining a spotlight on the new, emerging producers of Georgian natural wine.
The country is an epicentre for natural wine. So very many producers farm without chemicals, add nothing to their wines and produce captivating drinks that cover all colours, including, of course, orange wines that are so synonymous with this fascinating country.
Join leading Georgian wine importer and Georgian wine expert Tim Stock for conversation exploring the origins of wine, important native grape varieties of Georgia, orange winemaking culture and history, varied regions of Georgia, the delicious variety of wines that come from this amazing landscape, and how Georgian wine has risen from relative obscurity to a global totem in the avant garde wine scene.
There will be eight wines to try and snacks to graze on. Gaumarjos!
