Looking for a fresh take on the somewhat forgotten French aperitif, mistelle? Or are you simply scratching your head going, WTF even is mistelle?
For those who aren't familiar, mistelle (depending on the region) is made using fruit juice, most commonly grape but also apple, and fortifying it with a young grape or apple spirit - cognac, armagnac or calvados. It's as delightful as it is delicious and like some of the best things (we're looking at you Champagne) it's said to have been discovered by happy accident. Interested in learning more?
Come join importer of fabulous French things, Manu Conde talk all things mistelle and get around some of the best stuff from Normandy, Charentes, Gascogne, Jura, Burgundy and Champagne. We guarantee that once you experience Manu's passion first hand, you'll certainly wonder why mistelle has been pushed aside for more predictable aperitifs and move it to the front of your line-up.
Whether you're a mistelle enthusiast or novice, this class is not to be missed. We'll be tasting around 6-8 drinks with snacks alongside.
