Lisane Van Son likes to keep it busy. She started as a sommelier in Holland, then learnt winemaking around the Loire Valley and then decided to stay there to make wine. But you know, making wine in one of the most prestigious regions of the world wasn't enough, so after spending a bit of time in South Australia, she decided to buy grapes and make her own wines here. Because why the hell not?! Her 2018 was a collaboration with a few winemakers in Adelaide Hills. This time, she went to Jauma for harvest and stayed to make her wines in James' shed. The result is a direct press riesling, elevated in tank for 11 months. The lees give a lovely textural wine, balanced with acidity and good aromatics. Love the woman, love the wine.
