Mostly gamay with a splash of carignan produced by two brothers in the Loire Valley. A true cult wine of the highest order. Natural wine train spotters go mad for this wine.
The nose is super fresh and minerally yet loaded with red cherry, dark berries, brambles and undergrowth. The palate is super bright and fresh with small red berries, sour cherry, fresh saline-and-graphite minerality with aniseed and an amaro (pleasing) bitterness to finish. Oh, and smooth silky tannin in tow. Pitch perfect medium weight red of purity and freshness, depth and interest.
