What did you say?! Elio Altare? Piemonte?!! $41?!!!!
We say hell yes!! Just for that, you don't need to know anything else. But we'll tell you a bit more anyway. Because knowledge is power they say.
Like a lot of wineries in Italy, Elio Altare is a family business. Elio works alongside his wife and his daughters and they are all dedicated to showcase the beauty of their vineyards in Piemonte. The land was his fathers before (he was deshinerited, but bought back his brothers share. Italian families hey.).
Violet and black cherries, only 3 days on skins so it's a soft medium bodied easy drinking wine. Drink with formaggio, antipasti and enjoy la dolce vita.
