Cabernet franc through the lens of Andrew Hoadley, winemaker extraordinaire of La Violetta.
The wine is not edgy, as cabernet franc can be, but mellifluous, cool, cassis and green herb, bay leaf extension, citrus (?!) and fennel notes. All good. Slurps into the palate then quickens to silty, dusty tannins, finishes with chalky pucker and a splash of blood orange tang. It’s easy drinking, fresh drinking, fun drinking, interesting drinking. Marches to its own beat. It’s good. Get some. - The Wine Front
