This comes from a small producer in Heathcote, Darryl Rathjen. The verdelho is basket pressed to barrel and wild fermented.
Wow. This is complex, delicious, wonderful white wine. Lees work a yeasty, nutty savoury expression with texture to the fore and exceptional length. Succulent, lightly chalky, mouthwatering and tangy. A revelation. It's got faint saline mineral charm and loads of stone fruit, green and brown apple juice, citrus. Wonderful. - Mike Bennie, The Winefront
