From trebbiano and malvasia, off the ancient Pacina winery and vineyard site. The main event is sangiovese at Pacina, but they’ve done skin fermented trebbiano/malvasia for five generations too, more or less.
Burned orange colour. Amazing. Floral, citrus, dried apple scents. Seriously dry and chalky in the palate but follows through with this refreshing sluice of juiciness. More orange, light ginger, smoky tannin profile, spice and nuttiness to finish. Clean, chewy, intense, dense and serious feeling. So complex. Such a good vibe and so interesting to drink. - The Wine Front
