Kindeli Blanco Sauvignon Blanc/Chardonnay 2019
A blend of 60% Chardonnay and 40% Sauvignon Blanc. The Chardonnay portion is fermented in old oak on full solids. Whilst the Sauvignon Blanc components is split into thirds, each parcel is then handled independently. Some goes through carbonic maceration, some is left on skins and the remaining third is de-stemmed. Crisp, yet textural. Delightfully good drinking here.
Minim Patsy Fiano/Vermentino 2019
Bringing together Colbinabbin Fiano (Chalmers Vineyard) , whole bunch pressed and fermented in tank, with Redesdale Vermentino (Farmersmith Estate), fermented on skins for 4 days then pressed to tank. All in stainless steel, all native yeasts, very little oxygen and an extended maturation on lees with a small addition of sulphur prior to bottling.
Patsy is savoury, lean, crisp and textural - something to share with friends on hot days and have a good time. Not for inspiring endless critique and considered evaluation…just a nice summer drink, so relax and take off your shoes. - Tim Shoal (Winemaker)
Eastern Peake Tache Rose 2018
The game is 23 years strong, always 100% Pinot Noir a parcle in the vineyard picked for rosé (made for purpose), left on lees for 16 month, much longer than it was back in 1995. No fining, filtering or Tinkering. Thoughtfully produced to reflect on where its grown. - Eastern Peake
Brave New Wine Small Town Cabernet Franc/Vermentino 2019
In the immortal words of the wonderful band Journey...
Just a small town girl/Livin' in a lonely world/She took the midnight train/Goin' anywhere
Just a city boy/Born and raised in South Detroit/He took the midnight train/Goin' anywhere
A singer in a smokey room/The smell of wine and cheap perfume/For a smile they can share the night/It goes on and on and on and on...
A killer red blend of a bunch of different varieties. It's crunchy, bright, slightly savoury, spicy, juicy, geez, it just does so many things. Fun is the main vibe going on. Chuck this bad boy in the fridge for a slight chill baby, sit back and relax!
Latta Vino Wildwest Red Blend 2017
A fun fresh red, from Owen Latta in 'the wild west' of Western Victoria. according to Owen, it's clean, vibrant & refreshing, to be served at spring room temperature, or with a slight chill. It's equal parts nebbiolo, sangiovese, pinot noir, syrah, cabernet sauvignon and mataro and equal parts fun and serious, too. Get ya some!
La Ginestra Lea Canaiolo Nero 2016
An amazing back story for these Tuscan wines – it starts in 1978 with the purchasing of land, clearing of land with goats, planting of vegetables and cereals, organic farming only from 1989 and natural wines from 2012. It’s effectively a commune though two winemakers lead the direction for growing and production of wines.
