Trutta Streamside Shiraz
Carbonic macerated shiraz with a touch of marsanne. Light and bright with cherry and green pepper. Organically farmed out of Harcourt North, Central Victoria.
2020 Chouette Suzy Rouge Grenache
From an excellent vineyard in the much-maligned, often-overlooked but wonderful wine region of Swan Valley on the outskirts of Perth. Old vines, ruddy soils, warmth and old school winemakers aplenty. This from a younger generation winemaker with a great grasp on making brilliant natural wines. Juicy then crunchy to finish, this is a thirst-quenching red of great vitality. Cherry-fresh. Cranberry tang. Spice. So easy to drink but with so much interest. Can drink cold too.
2020 Das Juice Red
Our juicy light red is perfect with a chill. The 2020 harvest is a blend of cabernet sauvignon (30%) and merlot (50%) from the organic Zirella vineyard in Tatachilla and pinot noir (20%) from Peters Creek. All grapes were hand picked and whole bunch carbonic macerated for eight days before we pressed to tank for a slow natural ferment. - Tom and James, Das Juice
2020 Two Thirds Wine Chill Red
Two Thirds Wine is a collab between us two brothers, Oscar & Nick Morlet, using fruit from our family's small vineyard just 5 mins west of Cowaramup township, plus in future a bit from small leases around Wilyabrup and potentially further afield in WA. The 2020 Chill Red is mostly merlot done semi-carbonically with a bit of straight press cabernet sauvignon as a field blend. 2018 I'll Fly Away Syrah on Greco 2018
Tim Ward has created a really interesting wine here! This is 2018 syrah that is left on top of fresh pressed greco skins from the same year.
Ends up being somewhere around the light red / heavy rose zone, glossy in texture then finishes crisp and bone dry. Floral, pot pourri scents, game meat, dried strawberries. 2020 Stoneyman Holyrise Light Fresh Red
Hello. From one of the greatest winemakers to walk Australian soil comes this light, no addition, sulphur free, beautifully grown, well-made and utterly bloody delicious red (light one!). It's made by vigneron and winemaker Joe Holyman, one of our mad heroes; he does those Stoney Rise/Holyman and Brian wines.
This is a mix of white and red grapes that smells and tastes somewhere between Campari, pomegranate juice, thirst-quenching and crunchy cranberry drink, but with a dusting of light herb n spice. It's one of the wines we drink so cold, straight from fridge, crush our dry palates with and generally just bathe in. It's one of the best chilled, light and fresh reds we've seen in forever. And, yet, it's slightly fancy too... Nice one, Joe.
