Tasting Georgia: A food and wine journey in the Caucasus - Carla Capalbo
A love letter to Georgia from the gastronomic gypsy, and award winning writer Carla Capalbo.
This will take you on a journey of food, wine and people of the Causcaus. Carla was first drawn to Georgia by its ancient winemaking culture but on her first trip was captivated by the country's unique food and hospitality. She spent moths travelling through the Georgia collecting stories of people, their recipes, wine and ways of life. We're inclined to agree with Saveur Magazine, who wrote "without question the best book ever written in English about Georgian food and wine"
Iago Bitarishvili's Aneta NV
Georgian, natural, kvevri beer. Must have. Produced by Iago’s wines using all native wheat and barley.
This is epic! So complex, yeasty and malty scents, sweet fruits too, darker malty flavours, light, soft foamy fizz. Some meaty, gamey characters, sweet spice too. Soft, gentle finish but with bright acidity in tow. Fantastic here. - The Wine Front
