The ultimate “Luncheon Claret” a style oh so dear to my heart. The wine is built around a backbone of Shays Flat and Dash Farms, combined with smaller components of Balgownie Old Vines and Redbank.
Medium weight, fresh and vibrant, yet also offering fantastic complexity and serious tannin. An introduction to the style of the single vineyard cabernets to follow later in the year, again this wine will age into the medium term as well as it drinks right now. Cassis, gravel, cedar, wild herb and violet predominate. A cabernet with great clarity of flavour and aromatics, and again a seriousness of structure. Please decant. - Josh Cooper
