Cinsault, greanche, mataro, bonvedro from Wayne Ahrens and family’s SmallFry vineyard. Elements of whole bunch in the mix.
Slurpy, jolly, juicy red of high drinkability and general charm. Game meat, raspberry, dried herbs, sweet earthiness here and a faint, smoky-dusty rasp of tannin to finish and smoky-meaty flavour lingers. Feels pretty darn good. It’s probably best drunk with a light chill. Simple done well, though you could say there’s some quiet complexity here, or many instruments to the orchestra. - The Wine Front
