"Pretty simple one really, 2 weeks maceration, destemmed. Pressed to a combo of old hogs, puncheon and barrique (mostly puncheon). Let it rest (so much fruits and tannins!)" - Tim & Lawrence Scanlon
The carmenere grape was originally planted in Medoc in France, used in classic Bordeaux blend, some considering it a clone of the well known cabernet sauvignon. This wine is deep with a lot of dark berries and chocolate, and even if the tannins resolved after resting or two years, they are still nicely present. For the juicy red lovers for sure!
