Augusto Capellano took over from his father Teobaldo (quoted above), a revered legend in Barolo and further afield, after he passed in 2009. Big shoes to fill for a young, fifth-generation winemaker whose family estate in Piedmont was officially founded in 1870, but has been producing Barolo as far back as 1861. This is seriously cult gear.
