Nebbiolo of Yarra Valley via a grower simply named, like Beyonce, Dino. One of those wines where the variety is kind of immaterial, in a way, and the style is the important thing and the intent. Lighter, fresher, but serious red wine emerges.
Lively and chewy, super light weight but packed with sour cherry, pomegranate flavours, dusted with hazelnut and clove spice, finishes beautifully with tangerine like acidity and a smudge of graphite-minerally tannins. Very refreshing as a red, reminiscent of Lamoresca’s paler ‘red/rose’ wines – all crunch, tannin, red berry fruitiness, herb and spice. Wildly delicious.
