Firm and expressive. This wine takes you on a tasting journey to Mt Etna in Sicily, by which it literally tastes like the volcanic rock to which the fruit basket of Sicilian varieties were grown on. It’s a blend of nerello mascalese, nerello cappuccio, alicante and francisi. It is exactly as you would expect from these varieties, as it has a very firm tannin structure that is wound around a bold core and to cap it off keeps going and going on the finish. Very moreish!
