Benjamin Tallandier has worked with some of the luminaries of France’s burgeoning natural wine scene but settling in Languedoc to pursue his own eponymous project. He farms ‘very’ biodynamically, hand tends his plots with care, releases wines of precision, freshness and vitality - this wine nails the brief. Purity is the game, so the grapes are direct pressed into stainless steel for natural fermentation and resting. The wine sits on lees, is bottle unfined/unfiltered, and hits the glass with a gentle pink/orange colour, fragrance of red cherry and rose hip tea, flavours similar, texture glassy and cool. Oh yeah. It’s a guzzler all right. But made righteously.
