This producer has been going at it (same family) for two centuries, meaning there’s a lot of depth and understanding about their vines, growing conditions and traditional winemaking practices. The land under vine is certified organic, the winemaking all minimal intervention and indeed there are no additives aside a little sulphur to keep things clicking and fresh. The unique blend includes the white grape rolle and there’s a mix of ‘local’ and other varieties in there all adding up to a quietly complex, textural, delicious rose. While it appears a little ‘square’, perhaps, we love the detail and flavour, the spice and dryness, the little yeasty funk. It’s a clever, thirst-quenching and easy going rose. Yes thanks.
