Fun new label made by Ben Caldwell and Mauricio Ruiz Cantu of Somos. This is their take on the traditional variety of pinot gris but done with fourteen days of carbonic maceration, where the fruit was sealed away as whole bunches in a vat before pressing off. It's a wild and compelling ride, textural and fruity but not sweet. It shows some grip and pucker in texture, a starburst of blood orange acidity to close. Compelling stuff. Fun drinking.
