Château de Laubade was built in 1870 in the heart of the noblest area of the AOC Bas Armagnac and is today the premier Armagnac property who proudly farms their 105 hectares of single vineyard sustainably (they have 600 ewes to produce all their organic manure!).
Distilled in 1972 then matured for 49 years in in-house made Gascony oak barrels before being bottled in 2021, this Bas-Armagnac is extraordinary value. A well rounded nose with notes of vanilla, fruit cake and oak smoothly transition to into dried fruits, walnut and fig on the palate with a long and warming finish. This truly is excellent drinking.
