Like the Night Rambler this one is also made up of two country components, 40% from Jamaican and 60% from the Dominican Republic. The Jamaican rum was distilled with a long and wild ferment before being double pot distilled. The Dominican Republic used column distilling in the Spanish style (rounder and mouth filling) and a direct complement to the high-ester Jamaican rum. Both rums were ages for three years before bottling. Musk lollies, crème Brulée tieing in well with tropical fruits and a slight nuttiness. A golden rum for cocktails.
The Transcontinental Rum Line range is inspired by the voyages of rum casks between the New World and the Old Continent (Europe), a collaboration between French independent bottler La Maison du Whisky and Velier (an Italy-based Rum innovator that developed its own Caribbean Rum line in the 1980s). Less than 10 cases are chooses for each rum with each style of rum never exceeding 2000 bottles.
