The great line from Roy Ayers timeless song, mashed together after one of the Aussiest names for a winery ever. Bloody ripper. This is mostly sauvignon blanc, some viognier, a lot of love, care, patience. It’s a small outfit from West Gippsland. Al and Adriana are the couple, they farm their vineyard and farm organically, they get a little extra fruit from elsewhere. Wine is made with minimal intervention.
This is an utter delight. Sunshiney, sure, all sea spray, lime juice, tonic water, snow pea, scents and flavours, with the texture of licking a pumice stone. Yummy pumice stones. The wine rips a long at pace tight, racy, laser-like and finishes all mouth-watering and tingly with saline minerally tickle. Wonderful stuff. - The Wine Front
