When you pass your winemaking classes at Gut Oggau and Matassa, it's probably a sign that your wines won't end up in the gross category. Flonheim Martin Worner works his vines organically in the Rheinhessen and is someone to watch for. This little beauty is a blend of muller thurgau (if you don't know, well, it's not the most interesting grape without skin maceration) and riesling. It's gently skinsy, nicely aromatic, with soft gingery spicy touches. A delicate number.
