If you want to be in front of the curve on Jura wines then you gotta get familiar with Charles Dagand's new releases. Originally Charles was involved with Alice Bouvot at l'Octavin, but having gone separate ways we get a double down of wild-style, brilliant wines. Charpindo is a white-ish wine, let's say. A blend of direct pressed pinot noir (results in white juice) and chardonnay, both fermented naturally, see no additions, then blended before bottling to create this incredibly fresh, intriguing 'white' that layers in flinty texture, savoury nuttiness and tangy fruit character. It's brilliant. Get in on the ground floor, people will ask 'did you catch Dagand's first releases?', no doubt.
