From Aaron Fenwick (Summertown Aristologist, Lucy M Wines et al), winemaker and good guy. This is Adelaide Hills semillon (!) from Magpie Springs farm in Hope Valley at the south of the Adelaide Hills. Organic farmed. Catches whiffs of the ocean here and there, almost. Half of this was whole bunch fermented, half destemmed, on skins for three days. A very interesting project is emerging here, as are delicious wines, of course.
Far out. Skol factor x million. Lemony tang, brittle texture, bitter lemon Schweppes with a zang of herbal lift, salty minerality. Just so. Wicked drinking with energy at huge level. Nice chalky pucker in the mix. Does a lot, feels speedy and good all up. Go forth. - The Wine Front
