Atalaya Is a vineyard pretty close to Sanlucar but inland towards Jerez. This from a collective of winemakers who do minute release of single, very significant site wines made from palomino grapes, and all the vinification is the same to give you the deep dive into the terroir of the place.
Saline and green apple imbued, slick texture but with that brightness of saline acidity underlying and yet a mandarin juice like sweet undertone. It’s got some concentration, flow, but also grip and chalkiness. Delightful drinking here – such ease to it and attractiveness. You could say this is a little richer in a way, but it’s not a rich wine. It bends the mind a bit. Really great. - The Wine Front
