Andy Ainsworth cut his teeth working in top flight bars with a natural wine bent. He's done his time travelling the globe looking at wine culture and immersing himself in the work of wineries. Ipso, with a move to regional Victoria, he was drawn into the idea of having a crack at the craft himself. He's sourced fruit from the Landsborough Valley section of the notable (organic) Chapoutier Vineyard (Pyrenees) and works alongside (and in) the Cobaw Ridge winery for this project.
This is 100% whole bunch grenache in a lighter, fresher motif. Pure, fine boned, sleek and shaped with grippy, lacy tannins, it's an ultra fragrant expression in the mode of L'Anglore and similar producers. Succulent, bright, rippling with detail and outta this world for drinkability. Such a strikingly good debut release. Wow. Get in on the ground floor, we say.
