Organically grown, soon to be certified, vineyards guided into wine by two pals. Former sommelier Paul Marchand-Perarnau and long time winemaker Willy Roulendes met while working for a winery in Auxey-Duresses, separated and realised they were better off making wine together.
Head down south to reach Maranges, where the Burgundian sun shines a little longer each day of summer. The intensity of flavour has been kicked up with stewed red fruit and wafts of cigar smoke. Earthy mushroom and dancing acidity/tannin balance will distract you from most things. Sit back, relax and ponder.
