Semillon and sauvignon blanc, spends three days on skins, heads to old oak, and left like that until bottling, more or less. Fruit source here is Goulburn for semillon (Kingsdale Vineyard, farming organically), and sauvignon blanc is from Yarrh Wines in Murrumbateman, Canberra District.
This is a delight. Teeters into the wild style zone but retains vitality and drinkability. Has the textural detail but retains inherent freshness. The wine squishes in the palate with pretty tropical fruit flavours and tightens around a light chalkiness. The wine is juicy too, so a bit of a crowd pleaser in the lighter, orange wine spectrum. A sense of deliciousness and ease of drinking is inherent, though the hazy pale orange glow in terms of colour in the glass might speak a different story. Love it. - Mike Bennie, The Wine Front
