Cabernet franc from a Fiona Wood farmed vineyard of McLaren Vale. Made by a winemaker who travels between Loire and South Australia for her quarry. Six days maceration, off to tank, left to bottling in Feb 20.
Vivacious and spritely, lighter red wine here. Rose hip tea, strong here, a little apple juice, curiously, and the finish is earthy and very savoury. Smudges of tannin and walnut husk finishes the wine. It’s wild, charismatic and chuggable. That finish might irk some. - Wine Front
