Brash Higgins RIPPLE 2024

Tom Colman, one of the winemakers from Frankly, Bob Made This Wine (Blue Mountains) randomly suggested to winemaker Brad Hickey of Brash Higgins he should whole bunch ferment nero d’Avola and immerse it in cabernet sauvignon juice and then walked away from him, leaving him with this unusual suggestion. Brad thought about it, then did it, and the result was this wine (and its previous releases). Scents and flavours of strawberry, plum, choc-mint, cranberry with a juicy, flowing palate, light tannin presence and a gently spicy finish is the result. Supple, beautiful red wine of easy drinking but quiet complexity. Lovely stuff.
