Another gem from Cascina Pugnane, this is juicy, chewy and dense as hell. There's structure aplenty, cherries, cloves, black tea leaves and tomato leaf. A wine of remarkable power, profoundly earthy and deep. Set your alarm for 2028, and give this one time to develop. Present sacrifice for future pleasure.
Despite the warm vintage, these Barolo show elegance, fruit and freshness. Pugnane is always darker in colour and fruit and deeper; Giuseppe Rinaldi once told me how this cru is so underrated.
