Now this whisky has a crazy story..... in 2017 Diageo announced that their Special Release range was to include a blended whisky (perish the though!!), however this blended whisky is like not other in the world and is the first of it's kind; a blend of all 28 operational whisky distilleries that Diageo owned (see below for the list, it is as you expect, a cracking list). She is packing a scrumptious punch here with the nose being slightly waxy with peach freshness and ginger spice. The palate has a warming caramel, zesty citrus and aniseed before flowing into mellow peat. A creamy, spicy, nutty and slight smoke finish up what is undoubtedly a treat that isn't coming along to often!
28 Bangers: Auchroisk, Benrinnes, Blair Athol, Caol Ila, Cardhu, Clynelish, Cragganmore, Dailuaine, Dalwhinnie, Dufftown, Glendullan, Glen Elgin, Glenkinchie, Glenlossie, Glen Ord, Glen Spey, Inchgower, Knockando, Lagavulin, Linkwood, Mannochmore, Mortlach, Oban, Roseisle, Royal Lochnagar, Strathmill, Talisker and Teaninich.
