This is the project of the son (and wife) of famed Loire producer Jo Landron. Biodynamic farming underpins all the wines, so does au naturale winemaking, including no use of sulphur. This is melon de Bourgogne from a vineyard technically found in Muscadet AOC, though that isn’t a concern for the wines made here.
A very textural, supple and soft expression, quite appley and quite nutty, a touch of halva perhaps in the mix too. Fragrant, quite rich to sniff on but counterbalanced by the freshness to taste with saline-minerally acidity providing freshness and vitality. A wine that feels two speed, generous and hazy then suddenly so fresh; a cloudy apple juice with a strong squeeze of lime stirred through. I loved it. Complex, and delicious, and refreshing. - The Wine Front
