Brothers Thierry and Jean-Marie Puzelat are some of France's most significant and interesting natural wine producers, set alongside names like Overnoy, Ganevat, Foillard, Lapierre, as examples, and are intensely focussed on organic farming on unique soils with heritage vines. These wines are cult classics, beautiful, fresh and pure. Small allocations are commonplace, the wines revered for their energy in youth and ability to cellar for long periods.
The weather came and took everything....so this year there is just one estate wine that is a blend of all the parcels - it shows bright, floral tart plum, raspberry and wild strawberry aromas with citrus and earth. The palate is lithe and sappy again with strawberry, plum skin, earth and spice. The finish is long and fruity with light, balancing tannin. Irresistible as always. - Andrew Guard, importer
