Peramangk and Kaurna Country.

Darcy Chiswell is a trans and queer winemaker who works alongside James Erskine (Jauma) in Adelaide Hills. Darcy is a great beacon for reflecting much needed diversity in the winemaking ranks of Australia, and has learned the craft through vocational experience and determination. The winemaking, like Jauma, sees nothing added or taken away, bottled without sulphur. A short maceration only for this wine.

This wine was made as part of the Hacking the Future of Shiraz project (2024) to celebrate Australia’s first regenerative organic certified grapes, grown at Inkwell Wines vineyard.

Ultra vibrant, red cherry fruited, some woody spice elements in tow, with hazy texture and a bright, spicy finish. Some earthiness, some mushroomy notes, a savouriness for sure but amongst it all a purity and sour-sweet fruit profile of good energy. It's great drinking, almost feels like a health tonic, great served chilled.
