Domaine Belargus is a biodynamic powerhouse of the Loire, combining the forces of pioneers Jo Pithon and Guy Bossard with wine worshipper Ivan Massonnat. The Gaudrets cuvee is a representation of their four plots high up in Savennieres, a special spot due to its schiste/shale, loam and sandy soils. Its rakishly reductive at first, so give it some air time, whether in your fancy decanter or kitchen jug. Expect big mineral with delicate white fruit and floral vibes. Lip-smacking and seriously good.
