Domaine de Thalie Bourgogne Balancin Pinot Noir 2023

Peter Gierszewski was a wine merchant prior to beginning Domaine de Thalie in 2009. Located in the town of Bray, up in the hills above Cluny, the estate now consists of 5.5 hectares growing aligote and chardonnay for the whites, the red grapes under vine are pinot noir, gamay and syrah. Here we have pinot noir from limestone clay soils, 70% whole bunch, maceration approximately two weeks, elevaged in old barrels for ten months. Vibrant and pretty nose, raspberries and brambly. Complex red fruits with a little spice and forest notes. Lithe tannins, structured framework and  great length. - Liz Carey, importer 2023 // 750ml // ABV 14%
