Domaine de Thalie Macon Atout Vent Chardonnay 2022

Located in the town of Bray, up in the hills above Cluny, the estate now consists of 5.5 hectares. With a diverse array of soils; Clay limestone at higher altitude, granitic soils lower and a band of iridescent marls not seen widely in the area, the terroir is a huge component of what brings each cuvee its own personality. The chardonnay here come from limestone clay soils at 400 meters altitude, directly pressed, elevage in tank and amphora. The fruit is elegant on its initial approach, it moves to citrus pith and white peaches. Precise and mineral driven, there’s generosity to the fruit yet its restrained.
