When this was harvested (early August), the wine labs in Tuscany aren't even open. A pretty radical move. That it is viognier, is kind of the next mindblowing thing. Viognier. Yep. Very aromatic perfume, almost like an Indian spice market, touches of orange juice and dried citrus peel, bergamot tea. Beautiful.
Juicy and chalky in the palate, so much tannin drives the wine, crunchiness too - mandarin juice and appley characters mix with ginger and mixed exotic spice. Piercing thrust of flavour, incredible structure and so refreshing. Outstanding. - The Wine Front
