This is a cool wine. It is pink. It is flavoursome. It has bright, frisky bubbles. It is easy to drink. It is fun. The winemaker worked at Plantagenet, a big, old school winery in WA, before shifting gears and finding this project a focus - now wines of an avant garde nature are his quarry. The blend of varieties here is really original, delivering the cherry fruited joy of nero with the zippy, citrusy freshness of sauvignon blanc. Who’d have thunk it worked so well?!
