By "friends" Steve Crawford means the juicy skins left over from his light pressing of the oh-so-very-delightful marsanne/rousanne blend he churned out. Barossa shiraz needs no assistance, but is lightened up and given new life, yielding a much juicier, riper, rounder result. The ripple of gravelly tannins is alive and well and the the dusty spice of the red is complemented so nicely by the grippy, granular skinsy white blend. To quote Borat: "Great success!"
