The Piccadilly vines are approaching 40 years of age and bringing more concentration of flavour with their maturity. This year Gareth aged the chardonnay in French oak, 25% new barrels giving a deeper wood spice to the cool, apple-y Piccadilly fruit. The additional pear and citrus flavours are both zingy and creamy at once, like the old fashioned lemon posset or lemon mousse cake. An unassuming yet utter crowd-pleaser, and high quality. Richer than Scary Gully.
