Dolcetto is a table wine in Piedmont, often playing second fiddle to barbera and nebbiolo. But in the right hands, it can be something truly wonderful. The legendary Beppe Rinaldi may have passed away, but his daughters Marta and Carlotta have taken over and are staying true to his inimitable style. What remains unchanged is impeccably farmed fruit and wines characterised by unrivalled balance and elegance, with unbounded cellaring potential.

True to style, this is a darker purple-black-fruit-driven wine, showing ripeness and poise, with a rustic, bramble-like edge and a lengthy earthy finish. Patience is always rewarded with these wines, but hey – we’re certainly not going to stop you from cracking it tonight.
