Dormilona Yokel Verdelho, Swan Valley WA

This is the seriously exciting Swan Valley fruit sister project from Jo Perry. This verdelho has a light touch of time on skins but mainly Jo has built texture into this fleshy number with five months of careful bâttonage. There is plenty of tropical green fruit going on here, papaya and green mango with a ripe softness. Just delicious! And if that is not enough for you the sales of this wine are helping protect the critically endangered Western Australian swamp tortoise species. Drinking wine and doing good, oh yeah!!

Somos Naranjito, McLaren Vale SA

This is verdelho to knock your socks off. Indeed, this could be the world’s most interesting and complex expression of the much-maligned variety. It spends 180 days on skins; from biodynamic farmed vines. Incredible texture, chalky, powdery, intense and chewy, but all that chomp comes with a juicy, internal flow of mandarin juiciness, pithy grapefruit, wild herb complexity. It rushes across the palate wild and unfettered but presents with so much interest. Thirst-quenching and crazy at once. Love this. Such a ride. 

Das Juice Maceration, Adelaide Hills SA

75% c hardonnay from the Biodynamic Brackenwood Vineyard in Kuitpo in the Adelaide Hills and 25% viognier from the Organically run Dowie Doole Vineyard in the high part of the McLaren Vale. Fruit was de-stemmed and crushed and kept on skins for 14 days. Fermentation took place on the skins and then for a few weeks after. The wine was kept on tank for 5 months on full solids before being racked twice in the lead up to bottling. A total sulphur addition of 35 parts a week before bottling. This wine was a full natural ferment and was kept unfiltered and unfined.  - Das Juice

The Other Right Multicoloured Sunrise, Adelaide Hills SA

An orange pinot gris. This is the first time we got our hands on some pinot gris, and we are very excited – it’s got all we were hoping for and, oh, so much more! We made it with a fair bit of skin contact and some whole bunches for the win. It tastes as electric as it looks, and it looks pretty electric. We’d like to say the wait was worth it, but the truth is, we wish we’d done it sooner. - The Other Right

P&V Session Orange, Margaret River SA

How cool are tasting notes? Not very. It's made by Blind Corner, the colour is orange, it's some sort of chenin/sauvignon blanc, aligoté blend and my glass seems to have a hole in it....
