Commune of Buttons Commie Juice 2020
Made exclusively for us by the legendary siblings that are Sophie and Jasper Buttons in the Adelaide Hills. It's a pinot noir/pinot gris blend. Cherry-pomegranate business. Punchy, crunchy. Bell-ring brightness. Easy. Delicious. Don't think. Just drink.
Frankly, Bob Made This Shiraz 2017
Held off releasing for ages, evidently. Semi-carbonic shiraz, from Tamburlaine Vineyard. Rustic, savoury characters, earthy, dusty, ferrous notes, red berries, raspberry notes. Smoky, dusty, but light and fine too. Ultra light, actually, more chilled-heavy rose than anything. Vivacious style, laden with iron filing and gamey-earthy characters. - The Wine Front
Rasa Wines Little Liar Red 2019
A great blend of grenache and mouvedre coming from Andy Cummins of Rasa Wines in the Barossa Valley. Some co-fermentation, some whole-bunch action going on here - and in the end a juicy, delicious wine.
Fallow Sangio! 2019
Sangiovese and pinot noir combine!
Proper scents of cherry, maraschino cherry, warm, brown spice, turned earth and undergrowth. Like. Fleshy in the palate, more of the cherry, brown spice, earthiness, supple texture, a nice, lingering pucker of tannin, perky acidity doing what it should. Such an easy, at ease red. Lovely stuff. - The Wine Front
Somos Tintito 2019
Doesn't really matter what the grape varieties are here, there's a few of them all squished together, the message is way more about the super smashable, easy drinking, interesting wine that results. Somos are knocking it out of the park for good (value) wines and this is no miss. It reeks of sour and sweet berries, fennel, pepper, and tastes kinda similar, juicy as, bright to finish, thirst-quenching and straight up darn good medium bodied red. Yeehaaw. Get this in your carafes and tumblers.
I'll Fly Away Lambrusco Red 2020
Australian Lambrusco style bubbles made by Tim Ward, need we say more? This is lambrusco maestri from the Chalmers vineyard in Merbein, North West Victoria. Foot stomped for 4 days before being fermented. A deep purple colour with fresh bright intense fruity aromas, wonderfully contrasted by a dry, fun and funky palate.
