"Harkham Wines are inimitable expressions of Hunter staples, rendered without use of sulphur and happy in their own lane. The wines are produced by Richie Harkham and family, certified Kosher. A recent slew of vintages have seen wines notable and attractive for their sense of purity, unfiddled with nature, low oak seasoning and generally distinct for their sense of vitality yet depth, and levity too. I love drinking them.

This is a fuller flavoured rendering of Harkham Shiraz, rich, dark fruited, peppery spice laden, lifted with a mix of minty and alpine herbal elements, a touch of choc-liquorice in their and a bolstering cardamom and caraway seed exotica. That being said, it sloshes around the palate nicely, come hither in its riper fruit flavours, soft texture, little chew of tannin and crisp finish of blood orange and black plum tartness and sweetness – it feels slippery and fresh, vibrant and effortless. It glides so beautifully, light yet luscious and moreish. It hits high notes." - The Wine Front
