In 2018 there was not enough Grenache available from the vineyard that is usually used to create the Milan S&X cuvée, so Théo invented a new cuvée to use the grapes that did survive.
These grapes were grown in clay and limestone soils and the juice was fermented and matured in large, old oak barrels as well as concrete tanks.
The result is a very fresh, light yet quite sophisticated and complex red wine that can be sipped chilled or enjoyed throughout a meal.
Once again, the Japanese influence on the winemaker, Theo Milan, is clear with Kumo being Japanese for cloud. - Living Wines, Importer
