Pearmangk Country.
JB is a ripper human who knows his way around fermenting and growing things, shifted to the Adelaide Hills and surrounds, works alongside Tom Shobbrook and Anton van Klopper and pals, immersed in a technicolour world of winemaking and thinking. Then he released some of his own wines…
The wine sees a skin ferment of around three months before being pressed off by one of our favourite Aus-French fellas, JB. It’s a ruddy, dark rosé in looks and feels. Chewy texture, rose hip tea, cherry, cranberry drink and wild herbs in the mix. It has a very bright, high-toned acid profile for refreshment factor but then feels slippery through the finish and somewhat deep at the same time. It’s a wine for food, for sure, drink up around your dining table with snacks or a full extravaganza.
